all about access

Research shows that social-emotional learning not only improves achievement, but it also increases pro-social behaviors (such as kindness, sharing, and empathy) and improves student attitudes toward school. That’s a huge impact for all kids!

We’re proud to serve over 2,000 children each year, but many of the kids who could benefit from our unique blend of musical theater and social-emotional education are unable to participate due to financial barriers. With your help, we can keep performing arts programming accessible for every child by continuing to offer financial aid, scholarships, and free programming!

In an effort to offer low-cost and free programming to underserved communities, Kid Stock launched reACTion. This outreach initiative is geared at increasing our scholarship fund to cover fees for more students, and to offer that aid to programs as a whole, not just to individual families.

The reACTion Initiative includes partnering with schools and community organizations to bring our programming to their kids. Our first partnership, with the Salvation Army Mission Corps, launched in summer of 2017 with a one-week camp, free to the Mission Corps’ summer students, and now continues with year-round after-school and summer programming. Our annual fundraising efforts help support free programming for underserved communities year round.

Moneys raised through our fundraising campaigns also support our scholarship fund. Learn more about how to apply for financial aid.
