Kid Pods FAQs

Can I sign up as an individual?

Yes! Regardless of your kid’s school, they will have a safe and secure place to do their individualized study on a secure internet network.

Can I sign up as a group or pod?

Each family must sign up on their own. Our program is first come first served with limited space available, therefore we cannot guarantee group sign ups.  However you may coordinate with friends to try and get in at the same time and place, or sign up as your own pod!

If you sign up as a pod and one of our listed locations has availability, we may be able to accommodate your pod.  If you have a group of 6 or more ready to learn together, and a location in mind, we’ll send our program to you! (*Instructor availability pending) Pricing varies upon location and pod size. See our pricing chart for more info. If you sign up as a pod and one of our listed locations has availability, we may be able to accommodate your pod.

What does the cost cover?

Cost covers daily supervision at a minimum 5:1 ratio from 8:30 am – 4:00pm with performing arts enrichment activities throughout the day! Our program’s enrichment content will culminate in a fully staged, filmed, production. Supplies, equipment, costumes, set, and props for ongoing projects and the final production are also covered in your fee.

What if I need to cancel mid-session? What if my child’s school starts back in-person?

Should your school return to in-person classes or should you need to cancel your enrollment to Kid Pods at any time, we kindly ask for notice at least 2 weeks in advance. You will be refunded for any days not used and all future enrollments/scheduled payments will be cancelled. Due to the unpredictability of our times, we will not charge any early cancellation fees.

Is there a teacher guiding my students’ education?

Our lead Kid Pods instructors are college educated teaching artists with a minimum of 5 years performance arts teaching experience in school settings or after school settings. Our Kid Pods instructors are highly skilled in classroom management and individualized attention to student needs. At Kid Stock our primary focus is to provide confidence-building programs. Kid Pods is a chance for kids to shine on and off the stage, and our instructors will be ready to act as supportive guides alongside your child’s online learning experience.

What if my child finishes their work at a different pace?

Each week, we have designated creative projects designed to enhance students’ social emotional learning in conjunction with their regular school curriculum. Creative projects include self reflection art projects, creative writing, movement projects etc. If a student finishes their school work early and has no further zoom obligations, they will be directed to work on their creative project of the week.

What options do my kids have for art/recreation/enrichment?

Each week there will be a minimum of one arts & crafts project as a part of our overall enrichment opportunities. Additionally we have one full week’s enrichment curriculum dedicated to stage production which includes many artistic opportunities such as prop making, set design, costume design etc.

We have outdoor Snack Time Recess from 10:15am to 10:30am and outdoor Lunchtime Recess from 11:45am to 12:30pm everyday for free play and recreation. Additionally we have 2 full weeks dedicated to recreational team building activities as part of our overall enrichment curriculum.

Can my kid sign up for KidPods and attend another program?

According to SF Department of Health Guidelines, “Children and youth should only enroll in one program at one time. Concurrent participation in multiple youth programs at one time contributes to the spread of COVID-19”

What is the protocol if a staff member or child in the pod gets symptoms, or a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19?

We will adhere to the latest SF Department of Health Guidelines, which recommends that anyone with symptoms remain home while the pod remains open, and recommends pod closure should anyone receive a confirmed diagnosis.
