Summer 2020: In-Person Camps are Back

Summer Stock 2020

After consultation of the city of San Francisco’s Interim Guidance for Child Care Programs and Summer Camps, we are excited to say that Kid Stock is planning to offer the program you know and love, an in-real-life summer camp option!

This will be a modified program that follows the same daily Kid Stock structure that your campers are used to, but in smaller numbers. Each of our camp locations will be segmented into 12-student family groups, with a minimum of 2 teachers per family group. Family groups will be chosen by age and grade, and will remain together for the entirety of each day. We will be accepting registration for ages 5 – 13. You can, as always, list who your child is attending with and we will do our best to place them together in a family group. However due to the strict capacity limitations set forth by health officials, we cannot guarantee this.

Workshops/Rehearsals

Each family group will experience song, dance, drama, and art workshops just like every year at Kid Stock, culminating in their own Family Group performance!

Performances

Unfortunately performances will not be live this year, but will be recorded with full costume and production quality for families to enjoy from home! Each family group will have a designated room where all activities and the performance will take place.

Everyone Needs To Sign Up.

Yes, everyone. Even if you were already signed up for St. Anne’s, St. Paul’s or any other summer site previously, you must sign up again. In order to comply with city protocols, all previous registrations for summer camps have effectively been canceled. This summer re-opening requires a new registration. If you have a credit on file it will be automatically transferred should you be accepted into camp, or credited/refunded at your request. More Questions? Read on below and check out of Summer FAQ page.

How To Sign Up

Step 1: Join The Sign Up List

Joining the list will mark your place in line for camp. This form will request basic info about your projected income and employment, no supplementary forms or proof of income needed. Kid Stock will use the information that you provide on this form in order to meet the legal requirement to prioritize enrollment for children of parents/guardians who are essential/allowed workers and have the highest need. Prior registration with Kid Stock does not guarantee you a spot.

Step 2: Wait In Line Until June 8

Just like getting into the grocery store, these times require a little more filtering than usual. One requirement we must follow to be allowed to operate is to prioritize enrollment for children of parents/guardians who are essential/allowed workers and have the highest need. After our sign up period closes, we will filter priority groups. Decisions will be made on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to those families in priority groups. After June 8, registration announcements will be made on a rolling basis.

Step 3: Find Out If Your In!

Enrollment decisions will be announced via email on June 8th at 4 p.m. If spots remain available after that time, the sign up list will re-open until all spots have been filled.

Returning Campers: If you are notified that you are in, then you are good to go! No further action needed.

New Campers: If you are notified that you are in, your spot is reserved but we will request additional info to complete your sign up.

Step 4: Complete Pre-Camp Requirements.

If you are accepted into camp you will be asked to provide a little more paperwork to ensure the safety of all of our campers and staff. You’ll receive another email in the week before camp with a link to pre-camp online paperwork all parents/guardians must complete prior to their child attending camp. The email will also include details about your child’s family group and camp procedures, such as drop-off and pick-up, and facility info, such as location and counselor contact info.
